Overall they developed the game's concept and puzzles from their home computers over many years, and decided to forgo soliciting an artist, to save money of course, and rip off all the backgrounds and menus from other available media. Sadly, this happens all too often amongst the small time indie developers and modders, or smaller scale. The amazing part of this story, is that they managed to secure publishers to distribute the game in EU and the USA. You can blame the less than adequate QA teams within these publishing companies for overlooking the amazingly inconsistent and oddly familiar parts in this game. That was the critical error in the entire story. Harsh lesson for all publishers out there, with possible damaging effects extending to the small-time indie developers getting scrutinized even further. |

I hope the publisher doesn't become the target of the impending law suits, if so it'll make things even harder for indie studios to get any kind of release on their game. No publisher is gonna want to publish things they might get sued for. Lineage 2 WarCry Site Manager |

Read it from page 1 all the way through. Seems a small indie games company made a point and click adventure game, at first it was thought they screencapped a couple of environments from oblivion as areas in their game, but as the thread progresses, more and more content of the game is revealed to be ripped off from a surprising variety of sources.
They even ripped off a piece of art from the movie Beetlejuice. That would be funnier if it wasn't 100% true.
Overall i think they've ripped off close to 15 games and 2 or 3 movies, some from amazingly big companies (Disney, Bethesda, Blizzard). They're royally screwed and probably going to jail unless a miracle occurs.
